ROBERT BERMAN GALLERY and Truthdig are pleased to host an after party for the 17th Annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and pop-up exhibition in celebration of the recently awarded political cartoonist and essayist Dwayne Booth, otherwise known as Mr. Fish. As the distinguished recipient of the 2011 Grambs Aronson Award for Cartooning with a Conscience, Mr. Fish continues to demonstrate his ability to produce poignant, provocative and insightful political commentary. In the spirit of the 17th Annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Mr. Fish will be signing copies of his book, “Go Fish!” and showcasing his latest works.

Mr. Fish has been a freelance writer and political cartoonist for eighteen years. His work has been featured in many of the nation's most reputable and prestigious magazines, journals, and newspapers. In addition to his weekly cartoon for Harper's and daily contributions to Truthdig, he has also contributed to the Los Angeles Times, the Village Voice, The Nation, Vanity Fair, and Mother Jones.
Truthdig founders Robert Scheer and Zuade Kaufman will also be in attendance. Scheer is a noted and winning writer as well as a weekly commentator on KCRW’s “Left Right and Center.” He most recently authored the book “The Great American Stickup.” Kaufman is a publisher and journalist.
